The Belarus Public Policy Fund has been established to increase support for Belarusian analysts, networks, think tanks, professional groups, pressure groups or analytical centers working in Belarus on issues of strategic importance. The goal is to encourage them to add public policy to their activities with the aim of invigorating and intensifying the debate on key public policy issues. This can increase awareness within Belarusian society as well as in the international community concerning the most important political, economical and society developments in the country.
The Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies (BISS) has been established by leading analysts, journalists and public figures. The Institute serves as a platform for Belarusian experts to enhance the dialogue (i) inside the Belarusian expert community, (ii) between the Belarusian expert community and the society, and (iii) between the Belarusian and international community, thus trying to generate a new vision of the future development of Belarus.
Founded in Brussels in 1983, the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) serves as a leading forum for debate on EU affairs, but its most distinguishing feature lies in its strong in-house research capacity, complemented by an extensive network of partner institutes throughout the world. CEPS’ funding is obtained from a variety of sources, including membership fees, project research, foundation grants, conferences fees, publication sales and an annual grant from the European Commission.
IPM Research Center was established in 1999. The Mission of the IPM Research Center is to enhance national competitiveness through elaboration of the research-based economic policy recommendation and the promotion of professional dialogue on the urgent issues related to economic performance. The main activities of the IPM Research Center are monitoring, analysis and forecasting of Belarusian economy development, economic research and elaboration economic policy recommendations, promotion of dialogue on the issues of economic development through conferences and seminars, publication of the results of research conducted by Belarusian and foreign economists in ECOWEST journal, and training of specialists in the field of modern methods of economic analysis. The IPM Research Center is a member of CASE Research Network, Economic Policy Institutes Network, and The NGO Alliance of the William Davidson Institute.
Independent Institute of Socio-Economic and Political Studies (IISEPS),
national public association, was established in February 1992 by group of academics, journalists, politicians and businessmen (certification N 00503 issued by Ministry of Justice).IISEPS’ mission is to promote formation of civil society and free market economy in Belarus through study socio-economic and political process of transition from totalitarianism to democracy and active promotion of values and principles of liberalism.Main activities: research in sociology, economics and political science consulting organisation of conferences and seminars publishing and dissemination of information-analytical materials professional training.
The Institute for Privatization and Management was founded in 1999 within the mutual project of the CASE Foundation (Centre for Social and Economic Research, Poland) and it is a member of the CASE research network. The centre carries out activities to promote the competitiveness of the Belarusian economy through educational support to private business and for the creation of human resources for market reforms. This includes producing comprehensive studies of the economy of Belarus, elaborating recommendations for reforming the Belarusian economy, advising on economic issues, promoting public and professional dialogue on urgent problems of social and economic development of the country and training specialists and developing the intellectual environment for the implementation of economic transformation in Belarus. The Research Centre also renders informational and consulting services to Belarusian and foreign specialists in the areas of economics and business.

IIPS's main objectives: a) promoting the progressive development of the Republic of Belarus, the consolidation of its sovereignty, and its integration into Europe and the world at large; b) strengthening international understanding, security and cooperation based on independent scholarly analyses of social, economic, political, ethno-cultural, technological, military and ecological developments in individual states, as well as of formative regional and global trends.
e-belarus.ORG is an independent think tank covering ICT developments, e-government and e-democracy in Belarus. e-belarus.ORG conducts analysis, surveys and provides advise on trends and specific issues regarding government, political activism and technology. e-Belarus.org monitors political initiatives, specific IT-tenders and projects as well as new e-government trends in Belarus and other countries. The mission is to provide the basis for comparison, assessments and strategic advice in the sphere of digital media developments in Belarus within the framework of international context and policies. Objectives are to cover digital media developments in Belarus from a tech, business and policy perspective in order to allow various stakeholders in the country and abroad to come to grips with the latest trends in the sector.
